Aaminah QureshiRESEARCH ASSISTANT
Aaminah is currently a third-year student at the University of Toronto doing a B.A. in Political Science. She grew up in Oslo, Norway, but came to Toronto to pursue her studies and experience living abroad. She is currently working towards graduating a year early and gaining admission to law school. Within law, she takes particular interest in international human rights law and topics like genocide and crimes against humanity in the International Criminal Court (ICC). Becoming a lawyer has been an important aspiration for a long time, and she is heavily involved with Model UN, pre-law, and student government on campus to work towards this goal.
She is thrilled to be joining The CRIB team as a Research Assistant and work towards a greater understanding of community-driven, informed approaches to Black victims of homicide and violence. She hopes to apply her skills and knowledge to contribute to an end to the systemic violence and oppression that Black communities face. |
