Administrative Assistant, University of Toronto
Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work
Allison is currently a graduate student at the University of Toronto, working towards her Masters of Social Work. She is interested in intersectional feminism, and the effects of global violence on women and girls. Allison started her social work journey at Girls Inc. of Durham, who encourage girls to be strong, smart and bold. Allison joined Dr. Sharpe’s team in the summer of 2019, after taking her Organizations and Community class, and becoming inspired to practice community work from an anti-oppressive and trauma-informed lens. Her current practicum is at the Child Development Institute working with girls and their families. Allison’s current role is an administrative assistant on the team.
