Fun Fact:

Nauman has never successfully repaired an appliance, but he always takes his chances.

Dr. Nauman Aqil

RESEARCH ASSISTANT
If Nauman could go back in time, he would love to be an Indian classical musician. As things stand, Nauman is a Program Policy Analyst with the Child and Youth Death Review and Analysis Unit at the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. As part of his work, Nauman supports death review processes that result in structural, systemic, and service-level recommendations to reduce further deaths. Before immigrating to Canada, Nauman worked as a lecturer and researcher at a public university in Pakistan. He has published research papers on urban violence, organized crime, child labor, primary education, and infant mortality. Nauman’s long-term ambition in Canada is to lead policy changes to address the overrepresentation of racialized populations in the criminal justice and child welfare systems.
